Straight from the Mouth

Sometimes you don’t do you're homework. With some teachers you get in trouble if you don’t do your homework, then you get a detention because of that. Other times you get off with nothing and the teacher does not care.

Sometimes when you do your homework and have worked very hard, but other students do not do theirs and nothing happens to them. I don’t like that, because you are working hard and others are not. The teacher does not seem to care one way or another.

Of course not all teachers are so inconsistent. With some you can get away with anything, at anytime! And that is my opinion about homework.

Everybody should celebrate Christmas, because it’s a fun ceremony.

That’s my opinion. People that think that they shouldn’t celebrate

probably do so because they didn’t have fun celebrating another ceremony. But Christmas is fun! Christmas is the day that all your family and friends get together and have fun. People think that Christmas is the day that Jesus is born. Actually, he wasn’t born on the 25^th of December. They said that he was born on the 25 of December because it’s near the shortest day of the year. Everybody likes Christmas because everybody gets gifts and listens to good music and other things. So let’s celebrate something good.

I THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE A SMOKING AREA AT SCHOOL BECAUSE NOBODY IS GOING TO STOP THE SMOKERS NO MATTER WHAT THEY TRY TO DO .

ITS NOT LIKE ALL THE TEACHERS ARE GOING TO STAND OUTSIDE AND FREEZE JUST TO TRY AND CATCH A COUPLE OF SMOKERS. SO THE SCHOOL SHOULD JUST GIVE THE SMOKERS THEIR SMOKING PLACE!

ITS NOT LIKE THIS BIG DEAL! ITS JUST A FEW OF TEENAGERS GOING FOR A SMOKE AT RECESS AND LUNCH. I KNOW A FEW OF THE TEACHERS THAT GO FOR A SMOKE AT RECESS AND LUNCH SO WHY CANT WE GO??? WE ARE NOT GOING TO BURN DOWN THE SCHOOL OR NOTHING!

I BET IF WE HAD A SURVEY WE WOULD HAVE A SMOKING AREA IN NO TIME FLAT AND I THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE SURVEY FOR A SMOKING AREA TO JUST SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD SAY YES FOR A AREA OF OUR OWN. BUT IF ANYBODY GETS CAUGHT SMOKING WEED OR POT (WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT) THEY LOSE THEIR PRIVILEGE. AND THE PERSON WHO GETS CAUGHT OUTSIDE THE SMOKING AREA THEN WE GETS A DETENTION. AND IF WE GET CAUGHT AGAIN WE GET FIVE DETENTIONS, AND SO ON UNTIL YOU GET. SO THINK ABOUT IT, AND CONTACT THE PEOPLE WHO WANT "THE SMOKING AREA".

I have seen many games with violence in them, but some of them go too far. That type of game is for the brainless; they are senseless shooting games that require only that you kill people. (What is the point in that?) I find those games boring, because they don’t require you to think and use strategies. Most of the games have no story to them. Also, all the computer graphics are used up on the blood and gore.

I usually end up playing them only for about a week before I get bored of them. For example, I got Quake 2 and I ended up loosing interest in it very fast. The story to the game was that you crashed on a planet and you have to kill the enemy threat. (Wow what a story!) The worst part about this game was that people actually like this stuff.

A few days ago I found out that there is going to be a sequel to Quake 2. It has just about the same story, but with more "graphics". I got one of the my friend's opinion on Quake 3 and he said it was just as bad as the two before it. He showed me the game on a multi-player and he barely was able to do anything with it, which isn't fun at all and is just aggravating.

So, to say that other games don't have violence isn't enough for me. It's those games who base their whole existence on violence that I have a problem with

"Don’t let children watch violence on television, because your kids will maybe start to be violent’. That is my opinion, but not everyone agrees. I asked Frankie for his opinion and he said you should let them.

So my second question was, how many kids do you think watch TV and even think the violence is cool. All my friends are doing it, they say, so you go out and be violent. I don’t know how many , but Frankie said that there must be millions of kids doing that.

I don’t think, first of all, that you should be watching violence on TV. My parents don"t let me, because they do not like it. When I watch violence, cop shows for example, I dream about what happened then I can not sleep. My Gramma, said that when her kids were small, they wanted to watch violence but she said "NO", and every time one of them watched it that one had to sit in their room for two hours. That brings me to my second piont, that if you watch violence on TV, your kids will want to too.

?I asked, do you let your children watch this kind of stuff. I asked my mom and she said no, but my brothers watch anyway. I also asked my Aunt and she said no, I don’t let them watch the Simpsons, or anything like that which has bad words or violence. I am also sometimes angry with my Aunt.

Technology of today is very big, and that's why it is dangerous. People that are very good in using computers can destroy a computer just by connecting with it. Sometimes you could be on the internet and be on the site of someone else, then you are talking with him and he could send you a bug or something else to destroy your computer.

I find that computers are used too much these days. People used to talk, order things, etc….. Soon computers are going to do everything. And then when there will be a bug or virus that gets around, everything will go crazy !
