Advice dealing with the pop up windows: Don't minimize it, but instead drag the little window down to the bottom right of the screen so that all you see is the top of it.

The versions in the actual microsoft word are available at the ftp site (if you remember the username and password, but they are files done on a Mac and will have to be reformatted for PC use.
