FTP Options

Send Your Files to The Net.

Straight FTP program

The simplest option is to use and FTP program like CUTE FTP, available at www.tucows.com  or www.downloads.com.   (Macs use Fetch). When you want to upload, you simply open the program, connect to the FTP site where your files are kept on the net, and use Windows type features to locate your new files. You simply drag new files and folders into the window of older files and folders.  And say yes to replace them. If you have a fast connection, just drag over the whole folder.

(Note:  from school, your FTP program may need to be configured to upload out through the school's network, but at home it will be no problem.)

Importing as a Frontpage Web

Another option is to use Frontpage's Web Explorer, which means creating a "Frontpage Web" out of your site.  This may mean your site will now be located in another folder inside Frontpages folder, but it will automatically publish newer files and, better still, when your rename files from within the Web Explorer, it will update the links.  (Contact KarenR)

Other HTML editors,

like Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Golive also allow you to import your whole site into a site management program (though they actually keep your files in the same place) . These programs also offer an internal FTP program to upload files.

Okay, I lied. The simplest option is to let Karen do it for you !!!
